“Therapy is about finding balance.”
After graduating from Saint Mary’s College with my B.A in Psychology, I knew that I wanted to pursue my passion for helping others. My journey lead me to continue at St. Mary’s College to get my Master’s in Counseling, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. This lead to many great opportunities and taught me what the journey of therapy is about.
I use the word “BALANCE” a lot in my work. As a therapist, I balance meeting you where you are at and holding you to what you want to become. I want to show you that balance is something that takes work and requires you to find why balance is important.
In my experience, people seek therapy to change something that is not working for them. If you have a teenager, they sometimes believe nothing is wrong, even though there are many concerning signs that prove otherwise. Change is difficult. In order to have an opportunity for change, something needs to shift. Your mindset, behaviors, thoughts and as a result of that change, it can be uncomfortable. And that is the WORK! I want to help support that discomfort to provide an opportunity. Or an opportunity to face a challenge with confidence and better awareness. Expect a balance of compassion and to be held to your true potential.
